Spider-Man: Brand New Day - New Trailer Details and Speculations
After the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day dominated the internet for an entire day, it seems fans should brace themselves for another round of excitement. A new trailer appears to be on the horizon.
New Trailer Rated and Ready
According to the government website for Alberta, Canada, a second trailer titled 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day Trailer 2' received a PG rating on May 28. The listing indicates the trailer runs for 2 minutes and 30 seconds, slightly shorter than the first trailer, which was 2 minutes and 40 seconds long (including 10 seconds of title card and release information).
Although the listing does not confirm the release date for the new trailer, there are some clues. Trailers for Spa Weekend and Tracy & Martina: Goin' Out West, which were rated on the same day as Brand New Day, have already been released online. However, those were their first trailers, making their release more time-sensitive. In contrast, the third trailer for End of Oak Street, also rated on May 28, remains unreleased.
Why It's Time for Another Spider-Man Trailer
Fans are eager for a new look at Spider-Man 4, as the first trailer debuted over two months ago on March 18, 2026. That teaser offered a glimpse of Tom Holland's return as Peter Parker, navigating a world where no one remembers who he is — including his best friend Ned and girlfriend MJ. The trailer showcased Parker dedicating himself to crime-fighting while his personal life appeared bleak.
What to Expect from the New Trailer
It's unclear what additional details the second trailer will reveal, but Marvel fans have plenty of theories. Following the Daredevil: Born Again season 2 finale, which ended with Matt Murdock in prison, fans speculate that he might appear in Brand New Day. The first trailer featured Spidey battling an assassin ninja group, The Hand, in a multi-level prison — a connection many believe is too significant to ignore.
Moreover, the first trailer teased Parker's organic webs. Unlike Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, Holland’s version relies on a device in his suit to shoot webs. However, with so much change in Parker's life, even his body might evolve. Fans are also hoping to see more of Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner and Jon Bernthal's Punisher in the new footage. Additionally, there’s still no confirmation on the role Sadie Sink (of Stranger Things fame) plays in the film.
Release Date and Marvel Phase 6 Updates
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to hit theaters on July 31. While waiting, fans can catch up on the rest of Marvel Phase 6 with guides to other upcoming Marvel movies and shows.
