Dark Horse Presents The Last of Us: Joel with Brick Bust

In the previous year, IGN provided an exclusive preview of Dark Horse’s The Last of Us: Ellie Bust, showcasing the iconic character’s look from the original game. Wherever Ellie ventures, Joel is rarely far behind—and now, IGN is thrilled to exclusively unveil Dark Horse’s companion collectible: The Last of Us: Joel with Brick Bust.

Collectible Specifications

Check out the slideshow gallery below for a closer look at this intricately crafted The Last of Us collectible:

This bust accurately captures Joel’s likeness from the original game, featuring him armed with his iconic makeshift weapon—the brick—in the post-apocalyptic setting. The sculpting, prototyping, and painting were masterfully handled by Substance Model Works.

Gripping the ever-reliable brick, Joel appears battle-hardened yet determined, clad in his signature green flannel shirt and worn-out backpack. Whether used as a weapon or a perfectly timed distraction, the brick remains a vital tool in Joel’s survival arsenal. Standing 8.5 inches tall, Joel is positioned on a concrete base scarred with bullet holes, cracks, and patches of moss.

More on The Last of Us

In related updates, IGN has published a spoiler-free review of Season 2 of HBO’s The Last of Us series. Reviewer Simon Cardy notes:

“Adapting The Last of Us Part II’s expansive and emotionally intricate story into a TV series spanning multiple seasons was always going to be a monumental challenge—and at the halfway mark, the results are mixed. Season 2 of HBO’s adaptation of Naughty Dog’s masterpiece is far from bad television. It is exceptionally produced, visually stunning at times, and features consistently outstanding performances. However, certain narrative choices—particularly around pacing and the sequencing of key moments—detract from the intended emotional impact. While commendable, it doesn’t quite reach the same level of emotional depth and narrative precision as its remarkable source material—or even its stellar first season.”
